About your opportunity:
In this position you will ensure the effective operation and supervision of security services, site access and identification, traffic control and a range of services at Cairns Hospital, ensuring that professional standards are maintained and the safety of our workforce, clients, materials and assets are assured.
About your role:
- Coordinate and supervise Fire, Safety and Security Officers in line with Queensland Health HR policies and standards and actively engage in the instruction, training, guidance, professional development and support of staff.
- Manage the performance appraisal and development of staff as required including managing and performance, Human Resource (HR) and capability issues.
- Ensure the delivery of an efficient and effective Fire, Safety and Security service by exercising strong operational leadership and hands on involvement with the team.
- Provide surveillance of abnormal incidents within the precincts of the facility and liaise with police and management as appropriate.
- Review financial information, reports and statistical information and provide advice to the Manager of Fire, Safety and Security.
