Our Gold Coast Airport operation is a multi-venue Food & Beverage diverse hospitality operation including bar, cafe, coffee outlet and restaurant venues

We are seeking an experienced venue manager to head up our Paradox Cafe & Bar in the Gold Coast Airport.
Paradox Coffee Roasters are responsible custodians of the coffee journey, always putting people first. From the farmers we source from, respected industry partners we work with, our expert team that roast and share their knowledge, wholesale partners and baristas who serve coffee, to the customers who enjoy it.

Tasks & responsibilities:

  • Leading by Example: Foster a culture of excellence in service, hospitality, and teamwork
  • Ensuring Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring the restaurant runs smoothly
  • Creating Memorable Experiences: Interact with guests, resolve concerns, and make every guest feel special
  • Team Development: Train, motivate, and lead staff, ensuring top-tier performance
  • Financial Stewardship: Oversee budgeting, inventory, and cost control measures to maintain profitability
  • Collaborative Decision-Making: Work closely with chefs, bartenders, and front-of-house staff to create a cohesive team

What You Bring:

  • Proven experience in restaurant management, with a passion for food and hospitality
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure and direct your team in a high-paced environment
  • A proactive, positive, and solution-oriented attitude
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A love for creating memorable guest experiences and leading a team to success

Requirements

  • 2 years experience in a Food & Beverage, Cafe, or Bar management role
  • Food Safety Supervisor and RSA Certificate (essential)
  • Passion and customer focus: we expect you to have a genuine passion and interest in food and understand that our customers are number one
  • Leadership: you must have strong leadership skills

This role is available for an immediate start for the right candidate.
