Our team of 50+ skilled professionals work on exciting projects across hospitality, education, accommodation, and office spaces. Recent projects include The Brook Hotel (Mitchelton), The Buffs Club (Mt Isa), and Urban Utilities (Fortitude Valley). Upcoming projects include the Lord Stanley Hotel (Brisbane) and The Waves (Caloundra).

Eurofurn is now in its fourth generation of creating bespoke furniture. Beginning in the Friuli Venezia Giulia region of Italy, our work is a blend of the craftsmanship and expertise of yesteryear, with the world class technology of today.

Operating out of a full-service workshop in Virginia, we service the needs of large-scale retail and commercial venues. With a growing team of more than 50 staff, we offer decades of industry expertise.

Our growth has been driven by an exceptional industry reputation, built on unrivalled quality and service. We are excited to introduce a new GM – Finance and Operations role into our Executive team as we look to accelerate our growth even further in the coming years!

About the Role

The GM - Finance and Operations will be a key member of Eurofurn's executive leadership team, responsible for overseeing all financial, operational, and administrative aspects of the company. This role requires a highly strategic and results-oriented individual with strong leadership, finance, analytical, and communication skills.

This role will be pivotal in establishing a high-performance, continuous improvement culture within Eurofurn.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Planning:

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the company's overall strategic plan.
  • Act as the strategic integrator, developing project plans for the implementation of continuous improvement strategies and bringing them to life across the team.
  • Develop and implement KPIs to track progress towards strategic goals.

Financial Management:

  • Work collaboratively with the External CFO to align all financial activities with the business’ strategic plan.
  • Oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting, including annual budgets, cash flow projections, and financial modelling.
  • Manage all accounting functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, and tax compliance.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage risk and insurance programs.
  • Advise on financial strategies to support business growth and profitability.

Operations Management:

  • Work collaboratively with the external HR provider to ensure that Eurofurn’s people strategy is aligned to the business’ strategic plan, whilst becoming an employer of choice within the industry.
  • Oversee all aspects of corporate operations.
  • Collaborate with the Production Manager to drive the optimisation of production processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and satisfaction.
  • Oversee facilities management and maintenance.
  • Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance productivity and profitability.

Leadership and Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team.
  • Act as a key driver in establishing a positive workplace culture, characterised by high-performance and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders.

About You:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • CPA or CA qualification highly desirable.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance and operations role
  • Experience within a manufacturing environment advantageous.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing high-performing teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
  • Experience in Monday.com and Employment Hero highly regarded.
