The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity in our Brisbane office for a Head of Global Services to lead our Ashurst Service Central (ASC) team on a full time, permanent basis.
The Head of Global Services at ASC Australia plays a crucial role in driving the transformation and efficiency of ASC whilst supporting the wider Business Services team, ensuring high service levels are met, coupled with effective collaboration across global teams.
Ashurst Service Central (ASC) is Ashurst's centralised team for essential support services, dedicated to delivering seamless, high-quality end to end solutions that empower our service users. By offering a single point of contact for key services, ASC simplifies complex processes, reduces hand-offs, and ensures consistsent, responsive support across functions. With a global presence anchored in Glasgow and Brisbane, ASC where possible strives to operate a "follow the sun" model. This structure allows us to serve Ashurst teams worldwide with continutity and precision.

About You:
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Operational Management: Demonstrable experience and success of operational or general management roles, operating at a senior level.
- Process Improvement: Track record of implementing process and productivity improvements.
- Risk Awareness: Ability to identify issues early, recommend resolutions to those issues and efficiently and effectively transition to those resolutions.
- Analytical Skills: Experience of applying analytical and problem solving skills to operational and commercial challenges.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build consensus and develops alliances across the organisation.
- Team Leadership: Experience of managing and developing large teams both virtually and across time zones. Additionally, developing skills of managers and team members through coaching and mentoring, to manage and motivate their teams effectively.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Effective facilitator and strong business partner, capable of delivering tough conversations when required.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours to manage a global team across different time zones.
