About the role
- Supervision and management of laboratory staff including training of technicians;
- Coordination of day-to-day operational requirements of the testing laboratory;
- Liaison with internal staff and clients on testing schedules, methods, procedures and results;
- Overseeing the sampling, testing and reporting in accordance with the specifications, using appropriate test methods;
- Preparation and review of all test reports and issue to clients;
- Management of the appropriate maintenance and calibration of all laboratory equipment
Skills and experience
- 2+ years' proven experience in construction materials testing
- A Certificate IV in Laboratory Testing Techniques
- Sound knowledge of laboratory practices and operations
- NATA Signatory with a high level of competence and understanding of AS. standards and knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 requirements
- Possession of White Card, S11, Coal Board, while not mandatory, are desirable
- Has the ability to manage multiple tasks or deadlines
- Has the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team to achieve results, displaying a high level of self-motivation
- Knowledge of Geotester or equivalent program
