An opportunity currently exists for an enthusiastic and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team
Merrimac Park is a 96 bed modern, yet well-established Gold Coast Aged Care Service, offering high-quality levels of accommodation and privacy. The service is set amongst privately owned acreage, located just minutes from Central Gold Coast with the Robina Hospital and Robina Town Centre Shopping Centre.
The Clinical Nurse, in consultation with the Head of Care and the multidisciplinary team, provides clinical leadership of the facility. The CN works collaboratively with all levels of management, clinicians, carers, residents, families, support staff and relevant community agencies to facilitate an effective resident focused service.
Functioning at a high level of autonomy, the Clinical Nurse will prioritise their own work within established policies, guidelines and procedures and are responsible for work performed with a substantial level of accountability and responsibility.

Essential
- Minimum 2 years experience as Clinical Nurse in Residential Aged Care MANDATORY - applicants that do not meet this criteria will not be considered
- Experience/knowledge of Dementia HIGHLY REGARDED
- Advanced clinical assessment and care planning skills
- Strong communication skills
- Strong working knowledge of continuous improvement and the Aged Care Quality Standards
- Current Practicing Registration with AHPRA.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with a “Can do ” attitude
- Knowledge of AN-ACC
- High level of computer literacy including use of clinical software
- Current national police certificate
- Current drivers licence
- Must be an Australian Citizen or a Permanent Resident or hold a valid work visa
