Join our statewide community mediation team as an Intake Officer in this exciting temporary position located in our Brisbane office.
This opportunity includes front-line client contact and administration with the opportunity to develop mediation skills
In this role, your day-to-day tasks can be to:
- Talk with disputants from diverse client groups (both face to face and by telephone) in relation to a wide range of complex issues and assist them to resolve disputes, including by providing advice about DRB mediation process; managing difficult or challenging behaviours and/or emotional distress displayed by parties; providing dispute management coaching; and/or providing referrals to other organisations.
- Manage an individual case load under limited, remote supervision and in a timely and effective manner, accurate record keeping, assessment of suitability of disputes for mediation, coordination of arrangements for mediations and facilitations.
- Assist the Coordinator in building and maintaining stakeholder relationships with government and non-government agencies, to promote and support DRB services.
- Undertake administrative tasks necessary to assist clients and support the operations of the service, including the use of computerised records management system, and collation and analysis of statistical data.
