Join the lean, dynamic Digital Innovations team within the Strategic Communication Branch as a Principal Content Strategist and play a pivotal role in shaping the content and user experience across DTET’s digital products. Collaborating with clients in a high-velocity environment, you’ll champion user-centred design principles to create meaningful and accessible content solutions.
You’ll also build strong relationships with stakeholders, ensuring content alignment with strategic goals, and oversee the development of content governance, processes and workflows in consultation with business areas, driving the innovation and efficiency that plays a key role in ensuring the department’s key priorities and initiatives are communicated to all Queenslanders.
As Principal Content Strategist, you will:
- Lead and mentor a team of content design and technical professionals to deliver exceptional user experiences across a range of Department of Trade, Employment and Training (DTET) digital products, aligning with the strategic priorities of the organisation.
- Develop, implement and review the architecture of content based on user-centred design principles across a range of DTET digital products.
- Establish and manage strong relationships with and provide strategic content advice to executive leaders, stakeholders and partners across DTET and other Queensland Government agencies for a range of products, services and strategies.
- Coordinate stakeholder relationship management, including identifying, analysing and monitoring relationships, ensuring clear and regular communication, understanding mutual needs and commitments, and balancing potential impacts with user needs.

- Excellent project management skills, with a demonstrated ability to plan and manage the delivery of numerous competing priorities.
- High-level analytical skills, particularly in the use of data and user research to make informed decisions about content and the user experience.
