This position will be advertised under the former Department of Employment, Small Business and Training while establishment changes are finalised*Join the Department of Customer Services, Open Data and Small and Family Business (CDSB) and lead a team dedicated to supporting Queensland’s small and family businesses. As the Executive Director, Business Insights and Enterprise, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the business environment, driving policy innovation and ensuring programs are designed with real-world impact.
Your expertise in economic and policy development, and market analysis will be instrumental in identifying opportunities to support small and family businesses.
This is a leadership role that requires a deep understanding of industry dynamics, regulatory frameworks and the economic levers that drive small business success.
You will lead a team of policy and program professionals, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to design and implement initiatives that make a real difference. Whether it's advising on regulatory reform, enhancing access to government procurement, or driving data-driven decision-making, your work will directly impact the prosperity of Queensland's business community.
You are a strategic thinker with extensive experience in policy analysis, economic modelling and stakeholder engagement. Your ability to navigate complex regulatory environments and collaborate across government and industry will be essential. With a track record of delivering innovative policy and programs and a commitment to fostering a culture of exceptional customer service as well as inclusion, you will help shape the future for Queensland's small and family businesses.
