Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role located in West Lakes, SA for a Safety Advisor who will play an integral role in the delivery of a Residential multi-storey project. Reporting to the Site Manager, this role will ensure the safety of the construction site for all through effective risk control measures and critical documentation management, ensuring best practices are followed across the business.
Core competencies for this role will be trade and project team engagement, leadership of HSE initiatives and robust management of safety incidents. To be successful, this role will require strong communication and teamwork skills with a proactive approach to safety alongside comprehensive knowledge of regulatory requirements for HSEQ. Day to day will see you working directly with the Site Manager to ensure a safe work environment site inspections, inductions and playing a key role at site toolbox meetings.

Overall responsibility for the management of safety on the construction site. Review and Approval of subcontractor Safe Work Method Statements. Undertake Site Inductions prior to works commencing on site. Ensuring all workers are appropriately trained and ticketed to undertake their works. Ensuring all plant and equipment on site has been maintained and is safe for use. Report and investigate health and safety hazards, incidents, and injuries. Administering HSEQ policies, procedures, and management systems. Supporting compliance with WHS regulations and risk management processes. Conduct site inspections and where required, administer audits. Implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives. Working with internal teams and external stakeholders to promote a positive safety culture. Keeping up to date with relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.Qualifications
Extensive experience in construction work health and safety. A robust understanding of WHS legislation, compliance frameworks, and risk management. 1–3 years of experience in HSEQ roles in the construction or equivalent sector. A Certificate IV in WHS is favourable, but not necessary. Current First Aid / CPR certificate Construction Industry White Card
