About the Role
As a Disability Services Coordinator, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of Wayfinder’s NDIS program, ensuring exceptional support services for participants. You will build strong relationships with clients, families, and staff while leading a team of Specialised Disability Support Staff to deliver quality care and service coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & Manage Support Teams: Supervise and guide a team of disability support staff, ensuring high standards of care and service delivery.
- Coordinate Service Delivery: Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance with service standards, human rights policies, and legislation.
- Monitor Individual Support Plans: Ensure client plans align with their needs, service funding, and relevant legal requirements.
- Develop & Maintain Client Records: Manage database entries, case notes, and claims for services while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, families, guardians, and community partners.
- Resolve Challenges: Address performance issues within the team and provide coaching and professional development opportunities.
- Direct Client Support: Where required, provide hands-on assistance to individuals with disabilities.
- Quality & Compliance: Ensure operations align with Job Pathways Quality Management System and NDIS service standards.
Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in disability program management, including assessment, coordination, and community linking.
- Proven leadership and supervisory skills in a cross-cultural environment.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting, managing competing priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience maintaining a client management system.
- Strong knowledge of NDIS services, policies, and legal requirements (preferred).
What You’ll Need
- Current C Class Driver’s License (essential)
- Ability to travel (road and air) for short stays as required
- National Police Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
- WA Working with Children’s Check (or willingness to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
