Community Enterprise & Stakeholder Engagement Manager

Shine People Solutions is an Aboriginal owned and operated recruitment agency, and we specialise in recruiting staff for a wide variety of industries in regional and remote areas of Australia. About the Company

Our client is a not-for-profit government funded body responsible for providing essential goods and services to the Torres Strait, Northern Peninsula Area and mainland Aboriginal remote communities.

About the Role

Our client is seeking interest from candidates for a Community Enterprise and Stakeholder Engagement Manager to provide effective support and maintain strategic relationships and partnerships with the community, local government, community service organisations and other key stakeholder groups.

Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Promoting brand awareness.
  • Supporting and maintaining strategic relationships and developing new networks.
  • Establishing community action committees with the objective of capturing community and consumer feedback.
  • Developing briefs, presentations and other communication material for community and stakeholder engagement.
  • Maximising brand exposure and undertaking administrative tasks in connection with PR events.
  • Developing growth strategies.
  • Engaging with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Communities and Trustees on a range of land administration.
  • Reviewing data and generating useful insight and taking action.

Qualifications and experience required for this role:

  • Hold or working towards a Bachelor of Public Relations or Bachelor of Business.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a similar role.
  • Previous experience with design and implementation of business development.
  • Current open “c” class drivers’ licence.

The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and capabilities:

  • An ability to regularly travel to all remote location stores within Queensland
  • Strong business acumen.
  • Ability to work in a resource limited environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and resolution of problems
  • High level of organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with local community and all key stakeholders.

This position is based in Cairns, with regular travel to remote locations within Queensland. Salary on offer based on experience $100K - $130 base + super.
