In addition to this, Chevron Australia Downstream (CAD) operates three wholly owned product import terminals and has various teams who are responsible for establishing, monitoring and the delivery of products and services to various industries such as mining, resources, agriculture, transport, marine and aviation. Some of the other services available to customers include, bulk fuel supply, oils and lubricants, fuel equipment solutions, a fleet fuel card offering, an enticing customer loyalty program and expert advice on fuel management.

about the role
Chevron Australia Downstream has an exciting opportunity for a Dealer Manager who will manage an existing network of dealer locations and drive growth through these locations. Reporting to the Fuels Retail Manager, this permanent role will be based in Sydney with regular intrastate travel.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Compliance and Operational Standards
-
Ensure fuel compliance processes are in place
-
Manage compliance of Retailer Agreements
-
Manage Retail KPI’s, Visual Standards and HSE standards and requirements in line with Chevron Operating System and guidelines
Administration and Financial Management
-
Provide input into budgeting in line with Chevron process and timelines
-
Review and analyse company monthly profit & loss statements, identifying areas for improving the profitability of the business. Analyse, report and develop action plans for under-performing sites.

Analyse Operators P&L’s and site KPI’s, identify any areas for improvement and provide solutions and recommendations
-
Develop business cases for unplanned or high cost initiatives.

Build strong relationship with Retail Partners and handle all customer complaints to rectify issues in a timely manner.

Understand competitor activity
System Support

Operational lead for the set up and closure of retail sites

Be contactable for all site related issues
Growth and Development

Hold Retail Partners accountable for their sites/clusters operations including customer service levels, stock management, standards,

Foster open and cooperative relationships and working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Build strong relationships with Retail Partners.

Actively seek out and model new business opportunities to grow the network and/or increase volume through existing and green field sites.

Assess and determine development opportunities (e.g. co-leasing) to optimise return on each site.

Be involved with special project development, leading and implementation when required

Ensure competitor activity is closely monitored and if sites/clusters impacted then appropriate action taken

Knowledge, skills, and experience:

Background in Retail, Sales, or Marketing and experience managing customers

Independent, able to manage network of Retailers to grow the business with minimum supervision
