Your new role

The Practice Lead plays a critical role in enhancing the quality and consistency of practice across our programs. This position provides expert guidance, clinical supervision, and support to frontline staff, ensuring the integration of trauma-informed approaches into everyday practice.

Working directly under the Head of Practice this role collaborates closely with program managers and senior leaders to drive practice development, deliver group reflective practice, facilitate clinical supervision, and contribute to the creation of practice resources that align with organisational priorities and SHM's Strategic Plan 2030.

Your day-to-day

  • Provide regular, high quality practice supervision to frontline staff.
  • Provide regular group reflective practice to program teams.
  • Develop and provide tailored training to respond to team needs.
  • Support the Head of Practice in the provision of trauma informed support interventions and other professional development.

We're looking for someone with

  • A tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field.
  • The ability to provide trauma informed support interventions such as practice-based supervision, group reflective practice, secondary consultation, training and other professional development.
  • The ability to build capacity through developing high quality psychosocial practice.
  • A deep understanding of trauma-informed, person-centred, and culturally safe care.

You can look forward to

  • Part-time, 2 days per week, with days working that suit you!
  • Base salary of $55.46 to $57.90 per hour (depending on experience) + plus superannuation and 17.5% leave loading.
