Role Overview:
This role is responsible for a portfolio of infrastructure projects being delivered by you and your team. Your role is to negotiate and manage the life cycle of all projects through your team to achieve safety, commercial, quality and customer experience objectives. Provide efficient management of UCS’ portfolio of infrastructure projects from inception through to completion including project planning, resourcing engagement, client coordination, operational efficiency, quality monitoring and control of project costs and schedules.
You will be expected to work closely with senior staff to identify, plan and execute activities in line with UCS Values and broader corporate strategies.
The position is based from our Pakenham in Victoria however travel to our customer sites located throughout the country is required. Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Managing of various projects. Ensuring the projects are delivered on time and efficiently ensuring our clients are happy and the project is a profitable as possible.
- Ordering of materials (Ensuring the materials are ordered on time and within the budget allocated for the project)
- Scheduling of Staff to projects.
- Liaising with various key stakeholders including Clients, DTP, Subcontractors and supplies.
- Work with signals management and field staff to provide a safe workplace, ensure UCS safe work practices and procedures are adhered to.
- Continue to work in the field when required for part of the week until a time that the project management role becomes full time.
- Operational excellence - Controlling project delivery, including sub-contractors, auditing, detailing and compliance requirements to deliver project outcomes in a safe and efficient manner.
- Stakeholder / customer management - Develop and maintain professional stakeholder relationships by liaising with multiple project managers and a diverse range of sub-contractors associated with the project delivery process.
Skills And Experiences
Qualifications, Licences and Certificates:
- 5+ Years experience of Signals project delivery experience (essential)
- Certificate or Diploma in Project Management (desirable)
- Membership of an accredited Project Management / Engineering association (desirable)
- Driver’s License: Hold and maintain a Victorian Drivers Licence (essential)
- General Construction Induction Card (White Card) (essential)
