Description:
Participate in multi-disciplinary projects teams involved in the planning, development, implementation, review and evaluation of domestic and family violence issues and initiatives. Undertake research, provide advice and assist in the preparation of a variety of documentation in support of the domestic and family violence person’s project activities. Support the functions of the work area through the provision of administrative and organisational support.Your Key Accountabilities
The core capability requirements for this role are:
- Develop appropriate information sharing strategies to ensure risk assessments are comprehensive, inform safety planning and risk management as well as enabling swift and flexible action across agencies in response to need.
- Co-design processes with government and community stakeholders and draw upon best practice and the growing body of evidence around the value of integrated responses to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
- Supervise and manage a small multi disciplinary team responsive to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
- Work closely with the applicable District Domestic and Family Violence (High Risk Team).
- Provide a high level of service, technical expertise and advice for policing of domestic and family violence issues.
- Identify, manage and implement business improvement processes to enhance the organisational response to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
- Liaise, consult and negotiate with members of the Queensland Police Service, the legal profession, government agencies towards the establishment of effective working relationships and achievement of desired outcomes to policing of domestic and family violence issues.
- Identify environmental factors affecting the work area and actively contribute to the development and provision of legal research, argument, submission, opinion and advice.
