We are seeking an Accounts Receivable Officer to join our amazing finance team within the SCCQ family! This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend.
Working in this role, you will be coordinating customer admissions, separations and billing services on time, and in line with regulatory obligations and policies.

About the role

Responsibilities of the role will include:
  • Setting up and management of Resident accounts
  • Liaising with facilities regarding admissions to collect and verify relevant information
  • Processing Resident separations including final accounts and advising appropriate financial staff of resident discharges or deaths
  • Processing fortnightly and monthly resident billing functions covering all Aged Care Homes and Retirement Estates/Villages
  • Processing credits to Resident accounts from source documentation
  • Processing direct debit receipts and reports for authorisation
  • Updating and review of fees and charges according to notifications received from Services Australia
  • Liaising with Accounts Receivable Team Leader regarding ongoing/outstanding account issues
  • Responding to enquiries from Residents and/or families in a timely manner
  • Assistance with Accounts Receivable Functions in the Community Sector
  • Processing cash, cheque and credit card payments
  • Following up outstanding debtor accounts and debt collection processes
  • Assisting in the monthly reconciliation of Medicare Payment Summaries with expected funding
  • Preparation and processing of Estate refunds for refundable accommodation deposits including liaison with client representatives/solicitors
  • Preparation and processing of Exit entitlement refunds for Retirement Village deposits including liaising with solicitors
  • Processing non-estate refunds on discharge or as requested/reconciled as a credit due for refund
  • Processing general account reconciliations
What will you bring to the role?
  • Previous Aged Care Administration experience (desired)
  • Administrative support experience
  • Computerised accounting information systems experience
  • Demonstrated experience with the use of Microsoft Office suite of products (Word, Excel, database, email, internet)
  • Highly developed written and oral communication and numerical skills
  • Time, task and priority management
