Description
Your Impact:
As a full time Mobile Collections Driver, you will play a key role for the collection and distribution of donations from residential and commercial premises and donation stations. You will also provide guidance for supported employees to ensure safe and correct procedures are followed at all times.
What you’ll do:
- Work with and provide on the job support people with disabilities
- Utilise a range of commercial vehicles for collection and distribution purposes.
- Use of tools and equipment within the warehouse if required.
- Ensure vehicles are regularly checked and maintained.
- Clean and maintain Good Sammy bin sites.
- Ensure suitability of donations and minimise collection of unsalable items.
- Deliver stock to Good Sammy retail outlets.
- Provide high level of customer service.
- Distribution of promotional materials to donors.
- Act in a supervisory capacity for people with disability.
Skills And Experiences
What you’ll bring:
- Current ‘MR Class’ licence (essential).
- Experience in Furniture removals.
- Experience operating Tail lift/ Hiab/Platform/Electric pallet jack.
- Forklift License.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Experience and competency in supporting people with disabilities.
- Good problem-solving abilities.
- Able to develop good relationships and liaise effectively with external and internal contacts.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting furniture and other goods donated.
- Able to work flexible shifts.
