About the Role:
As a Collections Specialist, you will play a vital role in the collections process, focusing on assisting customers experiencing financial difficulties. Your ability to empathise with clients during challenging times will be key to maintaining positive relationships and ensuring successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers throughout their loan period, focusing on near-due and overdue accounts.
- Monitor accounts to identify borrowers who need assistance with repayment plans.
- Negotiate sustainable payment arrangements that benefit both the customer and the company.
- Handle challenging situations with empathy and clarity.
- Accurately document customer interactions and payment arrangements.
- Utilise self-management and problem-solving skills to resolve customer concerns.
- Experience in customer service, collections and hardship calls is essential.
- Strong listening skills paired with a solution-focused communication style.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers via phone, email, and SMS.
