The Role

Our national Digital & IP practice is currently looking for a Trade Marks Paralegal/Attorney to join the team to assist with our growing practice.

Reporting to Partner, Belinda Breakspear in Brisbane, this is a busy, high-volume role that will see you assisting with the prosecution, enforcement and management of national and international trade marks. Operating a full-service trade marks practice, this is an exciting time to join our Digital & IP team.

Our team advises organisations of various sizes, from start-ups, established ASX-listed businesses and government and research institutions, across a range of industries including biotechnology and life sciences, information technology, fashion, FMCG, not-for-profit, resources and agriculture. This role will see you responsible for but not limited to, docketing management, conducting trade mark searches, drafting search reports, prosecuting trade mark and design applications, conducting due diligence, assisting on oppositions and infringement matters, design searches and registration, and providing general trade mark and IP advice.

Experience

As the successful candidate, you will be a trade marks focused paralegal or attorney with a minimum of three years experience working in a commercial law firm, trade mark attorney firm or specialist IP practice.

You must have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines, coupled with a genuine interest in progressing your career within the exciting area of trade marks.

You will also be a commercially minded team player, who values working in a positive team environment.
