Our portfolio includes the globally loved [yellow tail] wine, along with other iconic brands such as Peter Lehmann Wines (Barossa), Brand’s Laira (Coonawarra), Morris Wines (Rutherglen), and Baileys of Glenrowan.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and proactive team member to join our vibrant Purchasing team. As a Purchasing Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient purchasing processes across all departments of the winery.
What is the role?
- Purchase materials, equipment and/or supplies at the best price in accordance with purchasing guidelines
- Monitor company purchase orders to ensure orders comply with company policies and procedures in regard to authorisation levels
- Ensure pricing in purchasing system is correct for items purchased
- Liaise with suppliers regarding ordering, quoting, invoicing, timings and quality
- Review and process all invoicing queries and discrepancies
- Batch purchase orders and delivery dockets for processing
- Process authorised credit card purchase orders and reconcile transactions
- Follow up all outstanding purchase orders
- Maintain all purchasing records
- Assist with employee company travel bookings and enquiries
- Establish effective working relationship with suppliers
- Assist in data entry and purchasing administrative activities
About You
Our ideal candidate will possess the ability to learn quickly, have proficient computer skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. You will be a proactive team player who has a high attention to detail, strong customer service skills and effective time management.
Previous experience in a similar purchasing role within manufacturing will be highly regarded but is not essential to this role.
