About the Role

The Fundraising and Alumnae Coordinator will serve as the primary connection between the School and its community of Old Girls, playing a crucial role in fostering meaningful relationships and promoting ongoing engagement with alumnae. This position is also responsible for designing and executing impactful fundraising initiatives, ensuring these programs achieve maximum effectiveness and outreach.

Key accountabilities include but are not limited to:

  • Serve as the primary liaison for Glennie Old Girls and the Glennie School Foundation, fostering a strong connection between the School and these stakeholders;
  • Cultivate and strengthen relationships with alumnae, with a particular focus on engaging and building meaningful connections with younger alumnae;
  • Maintain and update the alumnae database with precision, ensuring accurate and current records;
  • Oversee the management of the School’s archives, preserving the rich history and legacy of the School and its alumnae;
  • Develop and distribute bi-annual alumnae communications to enhance outreach and engagement with this audience;
  • Manage content for the School social media platforms and online communities related to alumnae activities;
  • Coordinate and execute alumnae events, reunions and other networking opportunities;
  • Craft high-quality written content for school publications, celebrating and showcasing alumnae stories and accomplishments;
  • Act as the main point of contact for the Foundation, collaborating on the planning and execution of fundraising strategies and donation initiatives;
  • May be required to take meeting minutes and distribute accordingly; and
  • Coordinate, plan and implement impactful Foundation fundraising events.

This position is permanent, part-time (15.2 hours per week), term time.

About You

  • Excellent organisational, written, and verbal communication skills;
  • Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of initiative and the ability to work independently;
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management abilities, with a talent for building connections;
  • Experience in administration, marketing, alumnae engagement, fundraising, or a community-focused role;
  • High level of attention to detail;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast paced environment;
  • Ability to work autonomously, whilst also functioning as part of a successful team;
  • A proactive approach to tasks with the ability to work cross functionally and with a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • Enjoy working in an energetic and busy office environment;

  • Willing to undertake a variety of tasks and upskill in new areas;
  • Maintain a degree of flexibility in working hours from time to time as required for the position;
  • Proficient in the use of Google Suite (desirable);
  • Hold a Paid Employee Positive Notice Blue Card Blue Card, in accordance with ‘No Card, No Start law’, as per the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000; and
  • Commitment to and understanding of the ethos of Anglican Schools.
