Our government client is seeking an experienced Data Modeller for a 12 month contract. In this role, you will design and develop definitions for critical Data Assets, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements. Working closely with the Technical Delivery Lead, you will manage competing priorities and contribute to the success of this transformative program.
Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyze data schemas and define Data Assets.
  • Translate business requirements and data schemas into reporting and analytics Data Assets, ensuring consistency with logical and information models.
  • Document data elements, synonyms, lineage, quality rules, and business rules, while maintaining Data Dictionaries and Metadata libraries.
  • Support the definition and ongoing maintenance of data modeling and design standards.
  • Reverse engineer physical data models and transform them into target models using architectural best practices.
  • Create conceptual, logical, and physical data models, defining relationships with modern tools.
Experience and Skills
  • Proven experience as a Data Modeler and Data Analyst/Engineer within large-scale Data & Analytics Platforms.
  • Track record of working in complex ICT programs.
  • Deep knowledge of contemporary data and business intelligence technologies and methodologies.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-level data governance and management practices.
  • Ability to work with business and technical teams to define data definitions, including master data management requirements.
  • Expertise in conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling principles.
  • Advanced data analysis and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency with data modeling software and tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based data transformation, DevOps, and DevOps pipelines.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both business and technical stakeholders effectively.
