Role details

The Clinical Excellence Unit at the Mackay Base Hospital is seeking applications for a Simulation Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Your opportunity

The Simulation Coordinator (Clinical Nurse) works as part of the Simulation Team in the broader Clinical Excellence to develop and implement simulation-based inter-professional team training designed to enhance safety and quality in health care delivery in the Mackay Hospital and Health Service and reports to the Nurse Educator (Simulation).

About the Team

The MHHS Clinical Excellence is located in K Block, which incorporates the latest technology for training and educational events, the library, and a state-of-the-art Simulation Centre. This has increased our capacity to provide high quality education and training opportunities to enhance safety and quality of patient care. The Clinical Excellence provides educational leadership and fosters and develops lifelong learning opportunities that promote best practice and practice development across the MHHS. This includes services to support orientation, mandatory training, and clinical evidence-based practice across the MHHS.
