As the Principal Systems/Database Administrator your will:
- Manage the implementation of data and database solutions within negotiated timeframes (SFIA Level 5 - DBAD).
- Develop and manage SDLC documentation of data services in line with standards, procedures, and methodologies.
- Provide Tier 3 support and change management for corporate data and database assets.
- Maintain SQL servers, including monitoring, backup, data migrations, and upgrades.
- Develop and manage reports using T-SQL, SQL Report Builder, and Power BI.
- Possess knowledge of BI tools such as SSIS, SSAS, ADLS and Azure Data Factory.
- Offer expert advice on data practices, data management maturity, and data migration from legacy systems, ensuring successful implementation of data and database assets (SFIA Level 6 - DBDS).
- Provide high-level technical expertise and advice on business applications, utilities, relational databases, reporting tools, and other development technologies. Liaise with vendors and service providers on complex technical matters.
- Collaborate with business representatives and technical teams to identify, monitor, and resolve data practices and data management challenges.
- Utilise cloud technologies to enhance business systems and capabilities.
- Participate in identifying and managing project-related risks and issues.
- Manage skills transfer and mentorship, ensuring successful transition of deliverables to internal and external support groups.
