About the role:
We are looking for a New Business Manager to join our Consumer Growth business unit within Customer Markets. In this role, you will lead the identification, assessment, and development of high-value business opportunities, ensuring that AGL remains at the forefront of market expansion and customer acquisition. What you will be doing:

Market Analysis & Planning – Identify emerging industry trends, customer behaviours, and competitor strategies to uncover new growth opportunities.

Opportunity Identification & Development – Assess and prioritise high-value business opportunities based on market potential and strategic fit.

Business Case Development – Build and present compelling business cases, demonstrating clear ROI and alignment with AGL’s Consumer Growth objectives.

Commercial Negotiations – Lead negotiations on commercial models, contracts, and commission structures to maximise profitability and market position.

New business onboarding - oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, ensuring seamless integration, compliance adherence, accurate reporting, and marketing support.

Performance Tracking & Optimisation – Define key success metrics, track commercial performance, and continuously refine strategies for sustainable growth.
What we would like to see you bring:

Tertiary qualification in Business, Management, Marketing, or a related field (preferred but not essential).

Strong ability to develop and execute growth strategies, align opportunities with business goals, and drive commercialisation.

Proven experience in stakeholder management, cross-functional leadership, and negotiating high-impact deals.

Commercial acumen with the ability to develop complex business models and adapt to market shifts.

Experience in the energy sector or consumer services industry is highly desirable.
