We’re seeking a motivated and engaging HSE Advisor to lead HSE and compliance across internal and external sites and customers for our Labour Hire business, Toll People. Based in the Recruitment offices in Murarrie, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation of all HSE processes across internal and external sites, with a strong emphasis on meeting compliance requirements. Your focus will be on managing safety for our contingent workforce, coaching teams, and advising on best practices, while fostering a culture of safety across the business.
In addition to your core HSE duties, you will play a key role in conducting functional and job task assessments for new candidates wanting to enter our labour hire workforce. You’ll build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the safety standards are consistently met and that all processes are effectively followed. This is a fast-paced role where your expertise will be essential in maintaining safe and compliant operations within our warehouse and transport environments.
Key Responsibilities :

Guide our teams in key risk management activities, ensuring a supportive approach to safety and compliance.

Improve the quality of safety information submitted by sites, fostering a secure and nurturing work environment.

Steer HSE meetings and collaborate with teams to achieve positive safety outcomes.

Perform insightful onsite risk assessments and lead incident investigations involving the contingent workforce on customer sites.

Conduct job task and functional assessments for new candidates utilizing a pre-determined assessment program developed by leading specialists.

Contribute to our safety culture by delivering engaging Health and Safety programs, promoting a positive, harmonious, and caring workplace.
Qualifications :
-
Cert IV or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety and/or another relevant discipline.

Exercise Physiologist, Physiotherapist, and/or another relevant qualification highly required.
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
-
Proven experience in an HSE role, preferably with a focus on labour hire staff within logistics or transport.

A solid understanding of the business nuances in implementing HSE processes and ensuring compliance.

Strong influencing and relationship management skills, fostering collaboration and empathy across the workforce.

Practical knowledge of HSE legislation, with a focus on incident investigations (experience with ICAM methodology is advantageous, though not essential).
