About the role
Come work in our busy production kitchen, a cook fresh facility producing 60,000+ meals each month. Be part of our dedicated team of 40 kitchen staff working together to produce high quality meals for patients.
- Prepare and cook high-quality meals according to dietary requirements and recipes
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict hygiene standards
- Create and test new recipes, contributing to menu development
- Manage food inventory and ensure proper storage
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Report to the Kitchen Supervisor, with them reporting to the Head Chef
About you
- Commercial Cookery certificate III
- 2+ years’ experience in large volume food production in a kitchen production unit
- An understanding of typical food production requirements in a regulated environment
- Sound knowledge of health and safety practices in a commercial kitchen environment
- A team player experienced in working in fast-paced environments
- Able to commit to these ongoing shifts: 64 hours a fortnight (will not suit student visa)
