• Part time, Fixed term for 12 months (0.8FTE - LSL cover position)

About the Role
You will be working in a dedicated clinical trial team and be responsible for assisting in cardiothoracic and surgical oncology research projects. This involves maintaining accurate and timely documentation in relation to research trials, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team liaising with other departments, external parties, medical and nursing staff with information that contributes to best practice and patient care.

Knowledge of clinical and organisational considerations for clinical trials.

Provide excellent customer service and communication in the delivery of the clinical trial protocol requirements.

Information Management - all documentation, information and data management utilises the best technology available. All data and documentation is stored and maintained to ensure confidentiality, legislative requirements and Good Clinical Research Practice are met.

Financial Management – Invoicing and payments
Classifications for this position will be commensurate with experience, and will range from:
HS2 - HS21 ($66,768 - $72,134 per annum, pro rata).
HS3 - HS25 ($74,448 - $80,433 per annum, pro rata).
Your Contribution

Qualifications in Health Information Management, or in other medical fields – preferred

Experience in working in the clinical trial environment – preferred

Additional qualifications in allied fields (data management, IT, communications etc.) – preferred

Current nationally coordinated criminal history check, or willing to obtain

About the department
The Cardiothoracic Research Department undertakes are broad range of both cardiac, thoracic and surgical oncology research projects, including national and international investigator lead trails, surgical comparative trials, device trials and drug trials.
