The Opportunity
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Project Development Specialist. Reporting to the Bid Development Manager, you will play a key role in reviewing and responding to new business opportunities, while managing sensitive commercial information. This role offers the chance to develop your skills and knowledge in the electrical infrastructure sector, including Substation Primary Plant, Secondary Systems, Overhead Lines, and Renewable Infrastructure.
You will be responsible for estimating costs, preparing competitive bids, and working closely with key internal stakeholders, such as Design Managers, Construction Managers, Schedulers, and Project Managers, to gather the relevant information needed for tender submissions. While prior experience in bidding is beneficial, we are primarily seeking someone who is eager to learn, grow, and make a valuable contribution to the team.
This role is a great opportunity for a Project Engineer or Project Manager looking for a career change, offering the opportunity to apply your skills in a new and dynamic environment while expanding your expertise.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this valued role, you will possess:
Previous project experience in power transmission, construction, or utilities is highly regarded
Knowledge of the primary design and construction of high voltage infrastructure would be highly regarded
Excellent communication skills with strong stakeholder management skills, focused on building and maintaining relationships across all levels
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
A strong drive to learn and adapt, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment.
Highly developed commercial acumen, with a keen understanding of business operations and decision-making.
