Your Learning Portal is a Registered Training Organisation (46341) seeking a new Business Development Officer.
The business development component of the organisation is the process of strategically planning for future growth by identifying new opportunities, forming partnerships, and adding value to the Company. It involves understanding our target audience, market opportunities, and effective outreach channels to drive success.
The Business Development Officer will strategically liaise with new and existing partners to acquire students to meet the business needs.
The Business Development Officer will communicate and cooperate with other members of the business team to ensure strategic goals relating to student acquisition are met.
This role reports to the CEO and is based at our Kent Town Campus.
The role is permanent part-time, two days per week 9:00 to 15.00.
The business is not open on weekends and Public Holidays however some out of hours attendance at industry meetings or events may be required.
Key responsibilities
- Working cooperatively with all staff members to achieve the business goals
- Facilitating and maintaining quality communication amongst all team members
- Directing and answering questions, queries and emails as required for the business.
- Work cooperatively with the CEO and Media to ensure business opportunities are presented for development
- Working and networking with external Service Providers and Business Partners to acquire, develop and convert business opportunities into meaningful growth investments for the Company.
- Working closely with existing partners to acquire a consistent stream of students into the business
- Source, develop and strategically acquire new partnerships that will realise a consistent source of students
- Cooperatively liaise with the CEO to ensure that business opportunities are followed up and developed
- Cooperatively liaise with the Campus Coordinator on business opportunities that are presented via email or direct inquiry
- Attend any Industry Inclusion Meeting or Networking events that are pertinent to business development goals
- Document each strategic meeting into an Industry Consultation Form for presentation at the monthly Compliance and Governance Meeting
Required Qualifications
- Sufficient RTO industry experience 2+ years
- Demonstrated student acquisition experience
- National Police Clearance
- Tertiary qualifications relevant to this role

- Previous experience in Registered Training Organisation (RTO) student acquisition
- Ability to make sound judgment decisions as required

- Strong ability to keep up to date and have current knowledge regards qualifications relevant to the business and our students
- Exceptional documentation skills
- Clear, concise and professional communication skills, including both written and verbal
- Professional appearance and demeanour.
- Ability to independently produce reports relative to operational needs.
- Ability to manage therapeutic relationships with multiple service providers to acquire new students on an ongoing basis
- Ability to manage a suite of Microsoft Office products pertinent to the role
