Eden Ritchie Recruitment are seeking an experienced project officer to coordinate and deliver aerial treatment operations across high-risk areas in South East Queensland.This is an exciting opportunity to make a tangible impact in biosecurity by leading stakeholder engagement with large landholders, facilitating self-management plans, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements around invasive species management.
In this position, you will:
- Plan and coordinate aerial treatment activities, collaborating with primary producers, industry groups, and government agencies.
- Provide expert technical advice to landholders on effective risk mitigation, surveillance, treatment, and reporting strategies.
- Monitor and support compliance with legal obligations, including accurate reporting and management practices.
- Represent the program in stakeholder workshops, maintaining productive relationships and offering clear, actionable advice.
- Track and report on project deliverables, risks, and outcomes using internal systems and databases.
Mandatory requirements:
- A current, unrestricted ‘C’ class driver’s licence
- Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid visa with work rights
- Qualifications or experience in agriculture, natural resource management, or rural stakeholder engagement, especially with primary producers or regional communities
