The opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia supports the AEW&C System for the RAAF, including engineering development activities to support upgrade and sustainment of the capability. Engineering upgrades are delivered through Block upgrades to the AEW&C System using a spiral delivery methodology with forward project planning forecasted out to at least five years. The Engineering Integration (EI) team supports the successful planning and integration of engineering development work delivered across the Block upgrade teams as well as key delivery interfaces to the Customer and Sustainment organisations.
The Engineering Integration Manager role is responsible for the leadership of the Engineering Integration team and advancement of the Project Engineering capability within the Development business area. You will work closely with leaders across the Boeing and Customer organisations with a focus on openness, transparency and relationship building. You will promote Engineering excellence and a continuous improvement mindset within your team and across the wider organization.
Reporting to the E-7 Development Engineering Manager, the role can be based in Brisbane, Williamtown, Amberley or Adelaide.
Responsibilities:
* Team Leadership -management of multi-disciplinary engineering staff, fostering a positive team culture and demonstrating caring for our people.
* Technical Leadership - technical management of the team and technical advice and support to business management and Customer teams.
* Functional Leadership - Establish frameworks to support the Project Engineering skillset with the Development business area.
* Quality Management - Assurance of the team's engineering outputs to meet quality expectations and resolution oversight for non-conformances and defects.
Experience/Qualifications
* Qualifications in engineering or equivalent technical experience. (RPEQ &/or CPEng desirable).
* 7+ years of experience working within multi-disciplinary technical projects. Experience with people management will be considered advantageous.
* Understanding of engineering processes and approaches to deliver complex weapon system upgrades, preferably in an aerospace regulatory environment.
* Knowledge of the BDA E-7 Enterprise will be considered advantageous.
