Position Overview:
We’re seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer to provide infrastructure support and project delivery across multiple industries. This role involves working closely with clients to design, implement, and maintain IT systems while also acting as a senior escalation point for technical issues. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the smooth operation of client environments.

Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level technical consulting and support to clients.
- Lead and execute IT infrastructure projects, including deployments, migrations, and upgrades.
- Act as a senior escalation point for complex technical issues.
- Administer and configure Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Servers, and Exchange Servers.
- Manage cloud-hosted infrastructure (AWS/Azure) and data centre environments.
- Implement virtualisation, networking, and security solutions.
- Configure and manage firewalls, managed switches, routers, and SD-WAN technology.
- Maintain and monitor backup and disaster recovery solutions.
- Document client network environments, procedures, and technical solutions.
- Provide mentorship and training to junior team members.
- Occasionally travel to client sites, including regional and national locations.
Role Requirements:
- Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (highly desirable)
- Strong expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, Windows Server, and virtualisation solutions.
- Experience managing networking infrastructure, including firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and advanced security solutions.
- Familiarity with PSA and RMM tools (ConnectWise, N-able, or similar).
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to IT support.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior engineers.
- Valid C Class Driver’s Licence and National Police Clearance.
