About the role:
The Aboriginal Education Directorate is the sponsor for the department for the Aboriginal Education Strategy 2019-2029. This role requires strong project management skills, an understanding of the educational landscape for Aboriginal students in South Australia, and a commitment to improving educational outcomes through effective funding and resource allocation.
It’s important to have experience in managing large-scale projects and an ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders. The Project Manager provides project management leadership, consultancy services and support, that includes planning and coordinating a program of diverse projects that underpin the governance and implementation of the Aboriginal Funding Model to achieve educational outcomes for Aboriginal students.
The position works with relevant executives and senior managers across the Division and Directorate to oversee, support and track projects against relevant strategies and established milestones. The environment can at times be sensitive in relation to divisional and broader government change initiatives. The position requires extremely high levels of confidentiality.
Qualifications:
Essential: Tertiary qualification in project management or relatedfield, with appropriate experience in using robust project management methodologies
Desirable: Nil
Special conditions:
The successful applicant is required to gain a Department for Human Services (DHS) working with children check (WWCC) prior to being employed which is required to be renewed every five years before expiry. The incumbent will be required to undertake RRHAN –EC (Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect - Education Care) Facilitator Lead (Masterclass) extended course or the online (Fundamentals) course which will be required to be updated every three years.

Remuneration:
ASO6: $98,478 - $104,165 per annum (1.0 FTE) + superannuation (11.5%) and leave loading
