About the Role
The OH&S Manager is responsible for the implementation and maintenance of Work Health and Safety systems, processes, policy, legislation, frameworks and initiatives across the organisation .
- This role is also responsible for:
- Provide advice and support to Management to ensure compliance with current legislation and achieve safety targets (KPIs)
- Coordinate investigation of incidents, near misses and unsafe work practices
- Coordinate and complete risk assessments
- Ensure hazards identified, reported and corrective actions are completed
- Coordinate and support the Regional WHS Committee by facilitating meetings, fostering participation and regular communication with Committee members
- Complete monthly reports with insights and analysis
- Keep up to date with changes in Work Health and Safety legislation
To Be Successful You Will Have
- Previous demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Tertiary qualifications in Work Health and Safety is sdeal but not essential
- Demonstrated ability to interpret legislation, policies and procedures and ensure they are operating within the work environment
- Exceptional time management skills and the ability to consistently meet deadlines
- High level communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and influencing skills with the ability to maintain confidential information in a professional and discrete manner
- Be solution-focused with a genuine passion for workplace safety
