Your role at St John of God Warrnambool Hospital
As an Administration Clerk, you will work the direction of Patient Services Manager provide timely and accurate administrative functions within the bookings and admissions office.
The Position

In accordance with hospital policy, guidelines and tools gather and provide information to facilitate effective communication across all departments and our external customers, liaising with doctors rooms, health funds and patients.

Entering the theatre schedule, maintaining and changing as requested by theatre manager.

Ensures timely and accurate data entry of patient information, utilising a computer based patient management system when required;

Communicate relevant information to key users, within and external to SJGWH with consideration to privacy and confidentiality principles and in a timely way.

Is responsive to all incoming telephone calls and ensures they are handled with courtesy and promptness and directed to the appropriate personnel or patient.

Ensure all visitors to the hospital are treated with courtesy and directed to the appropriate areas and personnel responsively

Patient data entry into theatre schedule and processing changes as requested.

Process unplanned theatre admissions as requested.

Process planned admissions via the patient portal and eAdmissions including at times preparation of an Informed Financial Consent for the patient. Ensures timely and accurate data entry of patient information, utilising a computer based patient management system. To support this role you will have highly developed planning and organisation skills.

Provide support to hospital reception desk.
To succeed, you will have the ability to demonstrate high standard of verbal and non-verbal communication skills and adaptability and flexibility in practice. To support this role you will have highly developed planning and organisation skills.

Salary $57,859 to $59,522 (on pro data basis) plus 11.5% superannuation

Permanent part time role, working up to 46.5 hours a fortnight

Shift pattern per fortnight: Four 7.5 hour shifts (0900 - 1700) and three 5.5 hour shifts (0900 to 1500) with breaks
