Your role at St John of God Geelong Hospital The Grade 1 theatre technician is responsible for transporting, setting up, cleaning and maintaining theatre equipment and assisting with the positioning of patients in the theatre complex. Grade 1 theatre technicians are required to perform work of a general nature under the supervision of a grade 3 or 4 theatre technician or manager. The Position- Prepare the Operating Room for each surgical and endoscopic procedure, ensuring the necessary furniture, equipment, appliances and supplies are at hand and working efficiently.
- Carry out necessary checks on technical equipment prior to operating lists. Seek assistance as required.
- Communicate effectively with all customers and patients using the appropriate channels, utilising appropriate formal and informal channels of communication.
- Participate in, contribute to and implement quality improvement and risk management into all aspects of service.
- Adhere to all applicable St John of God Health Care policies and guidelines.
- Take reasonable care of themselves and others.
- Not to interfere, bypass or misuse any system or equipment provided for health, safety and welfare purposes.
- Salary : $60,000 to $63,000, plus 11% superannuation
