The Business Intelligence Administrator plays a critical role within the Health Information Services team, reporting to the Manager of the Performance Reporting Unit. This position is responsible for the ongoing strategic development, implementation, enhancement, and maintenance of Bendigo Health’s business intelligence platform, PRIME (Performance Reporting Information Management Environment). The role ensures that the organisation’s business intelligence systems operate effectively, securely, and in alignment with organisational requirements.
The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the performance, optimisation, and security of business intelligence tools and databases. This includes ensuring data integrity, monitoring system functionality, and addressing any technical issues that may arise. A key aspect of the role involves working collaboratively with various business units to understand their analytical and reporting needs, ensuring that business intelligence solutions effectively support operational and strategic decision-making across the organisation.
To be effective in this role, the Business Intelligence Administrator must maintain a high level of expertise in business intelligence technologies and data management practices. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities within set deadlines are essential. Additionally, the role requires well-developed planning, communication, and presentation skills to facilitate collaboration with internal stakeholders. The ability to work effectively as part of a team while also taking initiative in problem-solving and system improvements is necessary.
