The Physiotherapy Department at Townsville University Hospital are seeking an experienced and patient focused Physiotherapist - Senior (Musculoskeletal) for a permanent full-time role.

This position provides high level Musculoskeletal physiotherapy clinical outpatient services across the continuum and is integral to maintaining the standards of physiotherapy practice and contributing to the development of musculoskeletal physiotherapy services.

Townsville University Hospital the largest tertiary hospital in northern Australia, provides specialist referral services for people living from Mackay up to the Torres Strait and out to the Northern Territory border.

About the opportunity:

Position: Physiotherapist - Senior (Musculoskeletal)

Vacancy: Permanent full-time

Location: Physiotherapy Department, Townsville University Hospital

This position acts as a resource person in musculoskeletal physiotherapy for staff, service managers and health care consumers of Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The role provides high level operational support to the Clinical Team Leader Musculoskeletal to ensure optimal service delivery within the available resources.

The successful applicant will rotate through the various Musculoskeletal Services of Townsville University Hospital including (but not limited to): physiotherapy musculoskeletal outpatients; physiotherapy orthopaedic screening services; orthopaedic clinics; virtual fracture clinic; emergency department.

  • Salary range: $4912.70 - $5286.40 p.f. (HP4)
  • 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading

Requirements:

  • Mandatory requirements are possession of a qualification in physiotherapy from a recognised tertiary institution and current registration, or eligibility for current registration with the Physiotherapy Board of Australia.
  • This position requires the incumbent to operate a class C motor vehicle and an appropriate license endorsement to operate this vehicle is required. Proof of this endorsement must be provided prior to the commencement of duty.
  • Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD): Health Care Workers in Queensland Health whose occupation poses a potential risk of exposure to blood or body fluids are required to provide evidence of vaccinations or proof that they are not susceptible (due to prior exposure to the disease and therefore have natural immunity) to the following VPD's Hepatitis B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella and Pertussis (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis containing vaccine) according to the Queensland Health Policy.
