About the role?
Are you ready to make your mark as a Commercial Finance Business Partner?
This is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role within a growing company, where you’ll have a real impact across the organisation. You’ll take charge of management accounting for a diverse range of cost centres, playing a critical role in shaping the financial strategy and influencing key decisions. This role will be instrumental in identifying risks, opportunities, and cost pressures through in-depth data analysis and modelling.
Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Leading budgeting and forecasting across the group, guiding the company’s financial direction.
  • Delivering monthly performance insights that directly influence executive decisions
  • Preparing financial modelling to explore scenarios and steer strategic choices.
  • Empowering budget managers and finance teams through timely and useful financial analysis and supporting the development of the team to enhance financial expertise.
  • Build and manage budgets and forecasts to meet divisional, company and parent company requirements.
  • Management of cash flow reports to be completed in accordance with agreed schedules.
  • Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, legislative requirements, and company policies.
About you, skills and experience:
You're not just a finance professional—you’re a strategic thinker ready to partner with the business and drive impactful results. You bring a solid background in management accounting and financial analysis, ideally within the insurance or financial services sectors. Your qualifications and skills include:
  • A tertiary qualification in accounting or a related discipline (essential); CPA/CA or CIMA qualification.
  • Experience in financial or management accounting roles with National/International operations
  • A deep understanding of accounting standards, best practices, and financial analysis
  • Sharp analytical skills, with the ability to make quick, strategic decisions and relationship between financial indicators and identify the root cause of problems.
  • Ability to present and lead a discussion on financial information and complex analysis
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines and manage activities through to completion
  • Sound interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with a broad range people
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for mentoring and developing others
