About the role?
Reporting to the Shared Services Supervisor, you will be responsible for the transactional accounting support of the accounts receivable function for APG. This
Your key responsibilities will include, however are not limited to:Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Process daily AR transactions such as posting of receipts, reconciling accounts, follow up debts and processing new account application
  • Liaising with internal/external clients regarding customer accounts or billing or payment related queries
  • Maintain accurate records of customer transactions and ensure accurate data input standards
  • Supporting the credit control process by following up on overdue accounts
  • Reconcile, maintain and update customer account records with the highest level of accuracy.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to facilitate effective debt collection.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and work with customers to resolve outstanding balances.
  • Customer account management and maintenance;
  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention is maintained
About you, skills and experience:
The suitable candidate for will have demonstrated experience as an Accounts Receivable officer and be passionate about learning and developing your skills across the accounts receivable function. You will thrive in a collaborative team environment and have a strong work ethic.
We are looking for a dedicated and detailed accounts receivable officer with:
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Ability to understand and apply basic principles and techniques of accounting and able to learn new systems and processes with ease
  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail and accuracy in data entry
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, handle competing priorities, meet deadlines, and manage activities through to completion
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to maintain effective relationships with a broad range people
  • Building strong and lasting relationships with customer by exercising empathy and understanding;
  • A collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working to achieve your tasks and support others within the team.
