Description:
A unique opportunity exists for a Junior Exploration Geologist to join a dynamic exploration program in the North Kimberley region of Western Australia.
This 2-3 month contract is set to commence at the end of May and offers hands-on experience working with an experienced geological team in a remote setting.
About the Role:
Reporting to the senior exploration team, you will be involved in field-based geological activities, including core logging, drill rig operations, and supporting ongoing exploration efforts. This role operates on a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off FIFO roster from Perth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct field-based geological mapping and sampling.
- Assist with drill rig operations, including core logging and data collection.
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental procedures.
- Support exploration and resource definition activities.
- Work collaboratively with a small but highly skilled team.
About You:
- Tertiary qualification in Geology or a related field.
- Previous experience working in remote field locations.
- Hands-on experience with drill rigs and core logging.
- Manual Driver’s License (essential).
- First Aid Certificate (preferred).
- Must have full Australian working rights.
