About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Financial Accountant to provide effective and value adding accounting services and support focusing on financial management and reporting including Treasury, Tax and Audit preparation.
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, based at our beautiful and modern West Perth office near Kings Park, you will support on financial accounting matters, providing input into the management accounting and board reporting cycles and work closely with Finance Business Partners to support a range of financial initiatives.
About you
You’ll be a resourceful individual who is comfortable working independently and equally ‘at home’ collaborating with others to meet ensure business outcomes are achieved. You will resonate with the MercyCare values and mission in your day to day to create a supportive and positive team culture, whilst striving for continuous improvement. You will also have:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications & professional membership (CPA or CA) or currently pursuing CPA or CA certification
- Experience in preparation of statutory accounts and audit process
- Well developed financial accounting skills
- Knowledge of BAS, FBT and other ATO compliance obligations
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with End of Month close, reporting, and External audit experience
- Previous experience within the aged and community care industry would be advantageous
- Current Drivers Licence
- National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
