Our client, an industry leader in the Western Sydney region, is urgently seeking a Safety Coordinator for a 6-month part-time temporary role, with the potential for permanent employment. They are a global leader in fluid handling, metering, filtration, and control solutions for the petrochemical industry.This part-time role requires 25 hours per week, spread across Monday to Thursday. The position involves being onsite one day per week. The primary responsibility is to offer safety advice and maintain a safe working environment in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Develop strategies, lead, and manage an effective WHS committee, ensuring compliance and the implementation of best practices.
- Evaluate safety performance, provide recommendations, and lead continuous improvement efforts.
- Lead and contribute to safety communication meetings and oversee all safety incident investigations.
- Regular reporting (monthly).
- Ensuring and maintaining effective standards for safety onboarding and induction.
- Previous experience in a safety role, within the manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of Health and Safety best practices and legislation.
- Positive, can-do attitude!
- Familiarity with systems such as: Enable on is advantageous, not required.
- Relevant certificates.
- Training & Development provided.
