Purpose

Rugby Australia, the governing body of rugby union in Australia, is looking for an experienced Memberships & Fan Development Coordinator to assist with delivering the ticketing program for Rugby Australia's international Wallabies and Wallaroos teams, and domestic Brumbies and Waratahs teams.

This role will also support the Brumbies, Waratahs and Wallabies First membership programs and ensure that Rugby Australia members, who are considered an integral part of the rugby environment, receive the highest quality of customer service. Moreover, this role will also build and implement new pipeline membership products for emerging rugby markets, with a focus on schools and junior ranks.

Key Accountabilities

Ticketing

  • Liaise with venues and ticket agents to assist with delivering ticket event builds
  • Collate ticketing requirements from internal and external departments and stakeholders
  • Transact, print and distribute allocations
  • Answer enquiries from internal and external stakeholders
  • Produce venue maps and CADs for stakeholders
  • Assist with coordinating marketing requirements with Rugby Australia's marketing and ticketing agents
  • Manage the ticketing services inbox and ensure that emails are answered within 48 hours
  • Game day ticketing operations including box office management, staffing and ticketing agent liaison (as required)
  • Assist the Membership Manager with developing new programs (as required) and initiatives to increase ticketing and member revenue
  • Assist with managing release backs from various constituents, i.e. hospitality, partners, travel and other departments
  • General administrative support
  • Provide sales and end of match reports (as required)
  • Generate and distribute ticket order forms to constituents
  • Transact ticket sales (as required)
  • Coordinate the payment of invoices and purchase orders
  • Assist with the coordination of any travel bookings, meetings, agendas and minutes
  • Maintain filing systems for the ticketing team

Memberships

  • Implement membership programs to facilitate the delivery of key strategic business objectives
  • Manage the membership program's event builds
  • Work with key stakeholders to help facilitate the delivery of their strategic planning outcomes
  • Work with Rugby Australia's partnerships and sales teams to achieve and maintain productive, progressive,and harmonious relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Effectively use information to determine the financial position of the Wallabies First membership, i.e. manage and monitor the budget by tracking and approving expenditures (within delegated authority), controlling costs, validating expenses and anticipating and correcting forecasting errors
  • Manage the membership event operations activities for Brumbies, Waratahs and Wallabies to profitably strengthen direct relationships with fans with an emphasis on new emerging markets and retention
  • Research, develop and implement a range of membership acquisition, retention/renewal, and revenue strategies
  • Assist with the development of new programs (as required) and initiatives to increase member base and ticketing revenue
  • Develop and implement detailed reporting systems to measure the performance of programs against KPIs and recommend and implement changes

Capabilities, Experience & Qualification Requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary degree or relevant experience
  • Experience managing membership programs and managing event ticketing at multiple stadiums
  • Ideally some knowledge oftic the Arctics and Ticketek (aspect) systems
  • Solid organisational skills
  • Available to travel for game days (as required)
  • Ability to resolve sensitive issues internally and externally at all levels
  • Previous experience managing a financial budget
  • Process driven with a superior attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a proactive attitude
  • Previous people management experience with a demonstrated ability to maintain relationships with a diverse group of stakeholders
