THE OPPORTUNITY:
Dick Johnson Racing is Australia’s oldest racing team competing in the Repco Supercars Championship.
With a strong motorsport pedigree, the team has seen its share of success all made possible by the people that drive us forward.
Based in Stapylton, Queensland, the team commonly known as the Shell V-Power Racing Team is now actively recruiting for a new Team Logistics Co-ordinator to ensure seamless operation of the team’s logistical requirements.
This role will be the key go-to person for team logistics, while also working closely with the broader commercial team on scheduling for race weekends and other key team events, such as ride days and member only events.
This position also requires a close working relationship with the team’s owners and executive, assisting in ensuring the smooth operations across the organisation.
This is a unique opportunity to join a small but hard-working race team that prioritises its people to help deliver success both on and off the track. This role will also report directly to the CEO, highlighting its importance in the organisation.
Applicants should be aware that this role requires interstate travel and work outside regular business hours, including weekends and public holidays.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING:
The follow experience and skills are necessary to help you succeed in this position:
- At least four years’ experience working with a national sporting organisation, team or club, with responsibility for regular travel and event related logistics.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
- Previous experience creating team or personnel schedules across multiple departments.
- Budgeting experience, including reconciliation of expenses.
- Experience preparing reports for senior leaders and Board members (or similar), with a high attention to detail.
Preferred skills you may possess but are not essential:
- Understanding of Australian motorsport.
- Previous experience in a racing team.
- Experience as an Executive Assistant or similar.
- Working with Boards or similar senior leadership groups.

WHAT A DAY IN THIS ROLE LOOKS LIKE:
This role is integral to the day-to-day operations of the Shell V-Power Racing Team.
Each day will be different, depending on the needs of what is Australia’s oldest Supercars team.
You’ll be responsible for a range of different tasks including:
- Organising the travel schedule for the team.
- Creating event schedules for race weekends and other major team events.
- Assisting the commercial team in delivery of Ride Day events, including ensuring all documentation is completed.
- Assisting the CEO with preparation for owner meetings and other high-level events.
- Providing support to the broader commercial team, including assisting with event promotional schedules.
- Working with the commercial team to assist in delivery of the Team Mates membership program.
- Managing budgets and reconciliation for commercial team expenses and other relevant areas.
- Working with external stakeholders, such as Supercars, to ensure relevant work is completed.
- Together with the organisation’s executive, ensuring the team’s environmental goals are met – in line with Dick Johnson Racing’s Net Zero commitment.
