Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced, motivated and highly organised Sea Freight Logistics Co-ordinator to help manage and streamline our vehicle shipping operations.

Looking to expand our diverse and dynamic team, this is a newly created position based at our head office on the Gold Coast.

As a Sea Freight Logistics Co-ordinator , you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient and timely transportation of vehicles within our nationwide network.

You will be responsible for co-ordinating all aspects of vehicle logistics; working closely with shipping lines, port terminals, contractors, customers, and our internal teams to manage new bookings from beginning to end. You’ll ensure the smooth flow of vehicle freight movements, maintaining efficiency and seamless operations throughout the entire process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Co-ordinate and schedule vehicle shipments from origin to destination, ensuring all processes are completed on time

  • Liaise with internal teams, customers, and contractors to manage schedules, costs, and any potential delays

  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the transport process

  • Maintain detailed records of transport movements, including customer bookings, scheduled vendors and shipping documentation

  • Provide excellent customer service and manage customer enquiries quickly and effectively

  • Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to customers

  • Manage relationships of key account customers, review their needs and offer transport solutions

  • Maintain mutually beneficial working relationships with contractors, freight forwarders, shipping lines, port terminals and other external partners

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sea freight, automotive logistics, transportation, supply chain management ore related industry

  • Strong knowledge of vehicle transport procedures

  • Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and proactive attitude

  • Show adaptability and flexibility in problem solving situations

  • Excellent organisational and multi-tasking skills

  • High attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Ability to handle a high volume of phone and email enquiries

  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve problems quickly and efficiently

  • Positive attitude, strong team player, and self-motivated individual

Preferred Qualifications:

  • A degree in Logistics and Supply Chain Management or related field

  • Minimum typing speed of 60 words per minute

  • Experience with transport management and vehicle tracking systems

  • Experience with international freight, customs regulations, and international trade regulations
