Through a wide range of programs and events, RSL Queensland fosters connection, camaraderie, and support for those who have served and their loved ones.An opportunity has arisen for an experienced and proactive Events Specialist to join the Engagement, Events, and Corporate Partnerships team. You will assist in the delivery of commemorative services, sporting activities, adventure challenges, and family fun days that engage veterans, their families, and the broader community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver a variety of events, ensuring high-quality execution from concept to completion;
- Coordinate event logistics, including permits, venue bookings, supplier management, ensuring compliance with event regulations;
- Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring financial accountability and efficiency;
- Prepare detailed project plans, schedules, and run sheets to meet deadlines;
- Liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders, including venues, contractors, and community groups;
- Maintain accurate event administration, including data management and reporting;
- Demonstrate a proactive, driven, and solution-focused approach to overcoming challenges;
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and risk management protocols; and
- Exhibit exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in Excel.
- At least three years of solid experience in event management, planning, and delivery;
- Relevant qualifications in event management, project management, or a related field;
- Proven ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities simultaneously;
- Previous experience in managing event compliance, permits, and regulatory requirements;
- Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills;
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other event management tools; and
- A proactive, adaptable mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional outcomes.
