The Spectrum Organization provides direct support services to people living with disability and those requiring other support services within the community.

We’re looking for enthusiastic and conscientious new team members to support our clients in community accommodation. The organisation has a registered training division that can work collaboratively to assist in the development and extension of employees who are suitably motivated.

The organisation encourages a good work-life balance in the provision of accommodation supports with predictable roster cycles and extended shifts to maximise the benefits of downtime. These positions are best suited to candidates interested in developing a career in the provision of personal supports, with a genuine desire to support those with complex needs and challenges to maximise their quality of life.

Suitable candidates will possess/demonstrate:

  • The maturity and life skills necessary to help support the running of a household;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills;
  • Sound written communication skills;
  • A commitment to professional growth and development
  • A genuine desire to support those with complex and diverse needs to maximise their quality of life;
  • Accredited training or a willingness to obtain in Certificate III Individual Support or a minimum of;
    • Working legally and ethically
    • Following safe work practices for direct client care
    • Following established person-centred behaviour supports

Required:

  • NDIS Worker Clearance and Working with children approval or willingness to obtain
  • Current First Aid Certificate with CPR or willingness to obtain
  • A smart phone or willingness to obtain
  • Reliable, roadworthy, registered vehicle
  • Current Driver’s license

Applicants must be willing and able to work weekend and overnight shifts.
